Tel: 1-866-FET-SURG The fetal therapy program at Evergreen is dedicated the
diagnosis and management of complicated fetal problems requiring direct in-utero
intervention. The Fetal Therapy team consists of the Maternal Fetal Medicine
program, Dr Martin Walker, the
director, and Melissa Dorn, RN, our coordinator. Fetal conditions that are
amenable to in-utero therapy include fetal anemia requiring direct transfusion, twin-to
twin transfusion syndrome requiring laser
ablation, twin reversed arterial perfusion syndrome (TRAP syndrome) and
fetal bladder outlet obstruction. Therapy includes fetal transfusion, bladder
shunting, selective cord coagulation and selective
laser ablation of connecting vessels in twin to twin transfusion syndrome. If
